Cookie Policy

What cookies we use, why, and how you control them.

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This policy explains which ones Makersfuel uses. We use strictly-necessary cookies to run the site, plus privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (PostHog) that help us understand what's useful without storing cookies or identifying you. We do not run advertising trackers.

Categories

Strictly necessary (always on): sign-in session and security (authentication), and a small cookie that remembers your cookie choice. These are required for the site to work and don't need consent.

Functional: remembers lightweight preferences (for example, when you last viewed your home page). Analytics: we use PostHog. By default it runs in cookieless mode — no cookies, no cross-visit identifier. If you Accept all, PostHog also sets cookies for more accurate analytics and enables session replay (a de-identified reconstruction of your visit, with all form inputs masked, never recorded on your account, messages, or admin pages). Marketing: none.

Cookies we set

Auth session — strictly necessary — keeps you signed in — managed by our authentication provider. mf_cookie_consent — strictly necessary — stores your consent choice — ~6 months. mf_last_seen — functional — remembers your last visit for your home page — rolling. ph_* (PostHog) — analytics — remembers your analytics session for accurate counts — set only after you Accept all — up to 12 months.

Managing cookies

You can change non-essential cookie choices any time using the cookie banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break sign-in and other core features.

Changes & contact

We'll update this policy if our cookie use changes. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data, or contact support@makersfuel.com.
